Today the BNP Paribas Group is established in Poland through BGZ BNP Paribas, a uni- versal bank with five distinct Business Lines serving various different client segments Retail, Personal Finance, Agro & SME, Corporate and CIB and also works through a number of specialised businesses, which are subsidiaries either of BGZ BNP Paribas (Factoring, Asset Management) or of other BNP Paribas Group entities (Arval, Leasing, Cardif, Real Estate and Securities Services). This setup provides local clients with a wide spectrum of financial solutions, similar to the product and service range that the Group offers in its key Western European markets such as France, Belgium and Italy, which is unrivalled among other financial institutions in Poland.
Retail Banking division
The BGZ BNP Paribas Retail Banking division is the backbone of the Group s universal bank in Poland. With over 3,000 employees servicing more than 1.6 million clients including indi- vidual customers plus also entrepreneurs, small businesses and farmers Retail Banking accounts for over half of all revenues earned by, and loans granted by, BGZ BNP Paribas. The Retail division s distribution channels comprise: A network of more than 500 branches, established across all regions of Poland, with due to BGZ s development history a particularly strong presence in small and medium- sized towns. This network, managed by nine regional directors, ensures that the Bank enjoys close physical proximity with its customers. A Contact Centre, which is operated by the Personal Finance division. A public website (www.bgzbnpparibas.pl) plus a range of mobile applications, which nowadays play a key role in both sales and servicing, as Poland is one of most advanced markets in Europe with regard to digital banking.
